DNAmite Plant DNA Extraction Kit - Part of Microzone's FreeFrom Range of products
Microzone's DNAmite Plant DNA Extraction Kit requires less than an hour to efficiently extract DNA from a range of plant sources. The process does not involve the use of solvents or other harmful chemicals, nor spin columns or magnetic beads which are usually required in traditional DNA extraction methods. DNAmite Plant DNA Extraction Kit also uses less plasticware when compared with conventional DNA extraction methods, reducing the environmental impact of the process.
Real-time PCR amplification from DNA extracted using the DNAmite Plant DNA Extraction Kit. 50 mg of Arabidopsis, Parsley, Pear, Basil, Coriander and Lettuce leaves were processed with DNAmite Plant kit. Extracted DNA was used for the amplification of the 28S gene in real-time PCR using MegaMix Emerald (Microzone’s dye-based qPCR mastermix).
