MegaMix Platinum - Probe based qPCR Mastermix
MegaMix Platinum Probe based qPCR Mastermix contains all the components needed to perform multiplex qPCR swiftly and reliably. The 2X mix contains chemically modified Hot Start Taq DNA polymerase, dUTP/dNTP and UNG (if carryover contamination control is required) in Microzone’s proprietary enhancing buffer optimised for amplifying low copy DNA targets.
Available with optional UNG and dUTP’s to eliminate carryover contamination, the thermolabile UNG is active at room temperature before being completely and irreversibly inactivated when heated to 95°C. This means your PCR product is suitable for downstream processing unlike traditional UNG.
This mix has been optimized for multiplex assays utilising dual labelled hydrolysis probes such as TaqMan and Scorpion®.
MegaMix Platinum is compatible with both standard and fast cycling conditions.

High Temperature Stability - MegaMix Platinum was stored at 40°C over a period of 34 days. The product demonstrated the same activity using a triplex assay using TaqMan probes on day 34 as it did on day 1. Data shown in carousel. This supports the use of MegaMixPlatinum in hot environments where cold storage may be difficult to attain.
This product is also available premixed Low and High concentrations of ROX reference dye. Please contact Microzone for recommendations specific to your qPCR instrument.
